Framed by the surrounding Tortonese Doc - VQPRD -hills, Cascina Caprini distinguishes itself to have made the best wine-producing Piemontese tradition that hinges to build a modern and  original interpretation of the Piedmont traditional vines.

Colli Tortonesi (Hills of Tortona) offer a breathtaking variegated landscape scattered with cultivated fields, rolling hills filled with vineyards and orchards, cool oak and chestnut thickets with streams and torrents. From the steep slopes of Colli Tortonesi, you can enjoy an overwhelming view ranging from Monviso to the Ligurian Sea.
Located at the crossroads of four regions (Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Liguria), Colli Tortonesi have always been a busy commercial meeting point, thus blending different peoples and cultures. Given the deeply rooted vine growing tradition, vineyards are part and parcel of the landscape in this area.

Winters in Colli Tortonesi are rather cold with rain falling throughout the year and drastic temperature drops between day and night during
the maturation of the grapes, thus bestowing the wine with fruity, elegant and delicate flavours.
Carpini vineyards extend to the neighbouring submunicipality of San Lorenzo, in the municipality of Pozzol Groppo and hence slightly exposed to the East. Our vineyards grow on a fertile draining calcareous soil with groundwater flowing just a few meters beneath, thus guaranteeing constant water availability and creating a unique microclimate.
